NEXT LEVEL RANGES UPDATE ON SUPPRESSOR TRANSFERS

There has been a great deal of discussion over the last several days regarding recent court action involving suppressors and the National Firearms Act. Understandably, many customers are asking whether suppressors can now be purchased without the traditional Form 4 process, fingerprints, photographs, and approval period.

Next Level Ranges is following these developments closely.

We have spoken with our local ATF office, and, at this time, we have not been provided with formal written instructions explaining how licensed firearms dealers are expected to handle these transactions going forward. We have been told that additional direction will be provided as the agency determines how the recent court action is to be implemented.

We are aware that some dealers around the country have already chosen to begin transferring suppressors under a different process. Those businesses may be relying on their own legal interpretation, guidance from counsel, manufacturer guidance, or their understanding of the court’s order. Every dealer has to make the decision it believes is appropriate for its business.

At Next Level Ranges, we are taking a more measured approach.

Operating as a Federal Firearms Licensee comes with significant responsibilities. Every transaction conducted through our business is ultimately our responsibility. Until the procedures are sufficiently clear, we do not believe it is appropriate to make a change that could create unnecessary risk for our customers, our company, our employees, or the federal licenses that allow us to operate.

We fully recognize the significance of these developments and understand why customers are excited about the possibility of a much simpler suppressor purchasing process. If the law allows us to complete these transactions without the traditional Form 4 process, we absolutely intend to make that option available to our customers.

For now, we are waiting for clear direction on exactly how licensed dealers are expected to proceed.

As soon as we receive reliable guidance that gives us a clear path forward, Next Level Ranges will update our procedures and let our customers know immediately.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while this issue continues to develop. Our goal is simple: make suppressor ownership as easy as the law allows while protecting our customers, our employees, and the licenses that allow us to serve our community.
